The Australian Institute of Criminology (AIC) is Australia’s national research and knowledge centre on crime and justice, compiling trend data and disseminating research and policy advice. The AIC informs crime and justice policy and practice in Australia by undertaking, funding and disseminating policy-relevant research of national significance, by generating a crime and justice evidence base, and by establishing a national knowledge centre.

The Australian Institute of Criminology (AIC) is part of the Home Affairs Portfolio and accountable to the Minister for Home Affairs.

A Criminology Research Advisory Council comprised of representatives from each jurisdiction, advises the AIC on strategic research priorities and on the Criminology Research Grants program.

The International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) is the world’s largest and most influential professional association for police leaders. With more than 31,000 members in over 165 countries, the IACP is a recognized leader in global policing, committed to advancing safer communities through thoughtful, progressive police leadership. Since 1893, the association has been serving communities worldwide by speaking out on behalf of law enforcement and advancing leadership and professionalism in policing worldwide.
The IACP is a not-for-profit 501c(3) organization headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia. The IACP is the publisher of The Police Chief magazine, the leading periodical for law enforcement executives, and the host of the IACP Annual Conference, the largest police educational and technology exposition in the world. IACP membership is open to law enforcement professionals of all ranks, as well as non-sworn leaders across the criminal justice system.

The National Network for Safe Communities (NNSC), an internationally recognized action research center at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, provides proven, evidence-based, life-saving violence reduction strategies to dozens of communities across America and beyond. Our work focuses on the safety of the most vulnerable communities in the United States, Sweden, Mexico, and Brazil. NNSC’s mission is to create safer communities. We are committed to utilizing our evidence-based strategies and support and outreach resources to protect the most vulnerable people in the most vulnerable places.
NNSC achieves this goal in a variety of time-tested ways: by strengthening community norms against offending, communicating directly with high-risk people to deter violence, using a minimum of law enforcement, helping group members succeed in their lives, and enhancing the legitimacy of law enforcement, especially police, to make communities safer. We collaborate closely with city governments, law enforcement agencies, and community representatives to realign policy and practice with community priorities and available evidence.

The Sacramento Police Department has always strived to represent excellence in policing. For two decades, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) has been helping make the world safer from drugs, organized crime, corruption and terrorism. We are committed to achieving health, security and justice for all by tackling these threats and promoting peace and sustainable well-being as deterrents to them.

Because the scale of these problems is often too great for states to confront alone, UNODC offers practical assistance and encourages transnational approaches to action. We do this in all regions of the world through our global programmes and network of field offices.
