We also care about the responsible keeping of pets. AnimaNaturalis works through research, public denunciation of practices that violate basic rights of other animals, and the promotion of agreements
and alternatives for a more respectful coexistence between humans and other animals.
AnimaNaturalis exists because billions of animals suffer in human hands. Because these animals need solutions. Because they deserve someone to speak up for them. Because animals need change. Because at AnimaNaturalis we want to build a fairer world for everyone.

The Area Agency on Aging, Region One is a 501(c)(3) private, non-profit organization that plans, develops, funds, administers, and coordinates programs and services in Maricopa County for adults, 60 years of age and older, family caregivers of older adults, adults ages 18-59 with disabilities and long-term care needs, and persons 18 years of age and over who have a diagnosis of HIV/AIDS. The Agency also serves many special populations such as elder refugees, persons with behavioral health conditions, and victims of late-life domestic violence, elder abuse, and sexual assault. The primary focus of the Agency is to keep persons safe in their own homes.

In 1955, when Denver Mayor Quigg Newton invited fellow elected officials from Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder and Jefferson counties to talk about joint issues and concerns, our region was in the midst of a post-World War II growth spurt. These leaders decided working together to enhance our region’s quality of life was a much better approach than going it alone, and created the Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG) to foster collaboration and cooperation and to speak with one voice.

Established in 1974, the Area Agency on Aging 1-B (AAA 1-B) is a nonprofit 501(c) 3 organization with a rich history of supporting older adults, people with disabilities and family caregivers in southeast Michigan. We are part of a national network of Area Agencies on Aging and a leader in aging services in a six-county region that includes Livingston, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, St. Clair and Washtenaw counties. We help people access the services and programs they need to remain living independently and with dignity in their own home or with family caregivers. We provide direct care programs for seniors, along with funding and support for many programs provided by our community partner organizations.
