Our solution to climate change? Democracy. We empower everyday people to work together on climate solutions. Supporters are organized in more than 400 local chapters across the US. We’re building support in Congress for a bipartisan climate solution.

According to the U.S. Small Business Administration, more than half the U.S. population owns or works for a small business, a sector that creates roughly two-thirds of our country's new jobs each year. That figure is higher in Boulder where more than 80% of the city's businesses have fewer than 20 employees. Boulder's small businesses represent a wide range of industries and contribute greatly to our local economy and quality of life.

To better serve our local businesses and non-profits impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic, the City Council has created the Laguna Beach Small Business Assistance Service and hired Townsend Public Affairs to provide FREE assistance to local businesses and non-profits as they access available resources offered by the County, state, and federal governments.

Somerville’s many businesses--from small retailers to experimental restaurants to innovative technology companies--play a big role in making our city a great place to live, work, play, and raise a family. The Economic Development Department works with businesses of all sizes and types to support their growth and success in Somerville.
