Arts & Entertainment
UNI Global Union - media, entertainment & arts (UNI MEI) brings together over 140 unions and guilds in over 70 countries representing staff, freelance, independent and contract workers. UNI MEI caters to the special concerns of unions and similar associations whose members are engaged in mass media, entertainment and the arts.
UNI MEI serves as a point of contact for its affiliates and the members they represent in this increasingly internationalised sector. It is a clearing house for information useful to them, particularly that regarding bi-national or multinational productions, or movement of employees across national borders.
It is concerned with issues ranging from ownership structure evolution, trade policy and technological change to copyright and neighbouring rights, piracy and censorship. It acts to exchange information about collective agreements, legal standards and practices of the categories it represents at an international level.

The Visual Arts Network of South Africa (VANSA) was initiated by leading figures in the visual arts sector from across South Africa in 2003.
VANSA operates as a support point and development agency for contemporary art practice in South Africa. We develop industry knowledge, resources, networks and projects that are concerned with realising new social, cultural and economic possibilities for contemporary art practice in the South African – and wider African – context. VANSA is a national network of artists and arts organisations with just over 7000 members.
