Welcome to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. For over 60 years, CDC has been dedicated to protecting health and promoting quality of life through the prevention and control of disease, injury, and disability. We are committed to programs that reduce the health and economic consequences of the leading causes of death and disability, thereby ensuring a long, productive, healthy life for all people.
The Police And Community Team (P.A.C.T.) is comprised of one lieutenant, one sergeant, one corporal and four officers who engage in crime prevention and problem-solving activities with the community. All members of our P.A.C.T. unit have gone through extensive training and are State Certified Crime Prevention Specialists.
Each member of the P.A.C.T. unit is assigned to a patrol beat and works as the department liaison within their assigned section. They work closely with other divisions within the police department and other City departments to address crime concerns. Further, these officers work with Crime Watch groups, community groups and citizens to assist in providing information, crime prevention techniques and solutions to resolve community crime concerns. In Cedar Hill, we understand the value of people and relationships which is why we offer a number of programs designed to create opportunities for community engagement to build lasting relationships and help keep our community safe.

The right VET policies depend on understanding how economies, societies and people are changing.
Cedefop works to strengthen European cooperation and provide the evidence on which to base European VET policy. Cedefop’s added value is the high quality of its comparative analyses and expertise gathered through research and networking, which are used to:
Provide technical advice and propose ideas for VET policies;
Fill knowledge gaps and generating new insights that identify trends in and challenges for VET;
Increase awareness of VET’s image and importance;
Bring together policy-makers, social partners, researchers and practitioners to share ideas and debate the best ways to improve VET policies;
Support and encourage joint European approaches, principles and tools to improve VET.
Cedefop works closely with the European Commission, Member States’ governments, representatives of employers and trade unions, VET researchers and practitioners. It provides them with up-to-date information on developments in VET as well as opportunities for policy debate.
Founded on 1966, the Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR) began its work on behalf of civil rights activists, and, over the last four decades, has lent its expertise and support to virtually every popular movement for social justice.
We use daring and innovative legal strategies which have produced many important precedents. CCR is often “ahead of the curve” in both identifying a problem and in suggesting novel or radical legal responses which, over time, become accepted and respected precedents and theories.
CCR accepts cases and projects based on principle and the value of the struggle itself, not solely by using a calculus of victory. There are cases which CCR has worked on tenaciously for decades before success was achieved, yet we stood by the cause and the client. We will continue to take these types of cases because justice demands it.
As we look to the future, CCR will continue to be at the forefront of legal thinking, using the law creatively in the service of justice.
Through our human rights work, we will strengthen the international rule of law to promote justice and oppose armed and other forms of aggression.
Through our racial justice work, we will strive to complete the unfinished civil rights movement, targeting racial profiling and other modern-day manifestations of racial repression.
We are dedicated to restoring the fundamental right to habeas corpus and will continue to combat the illegal expansion of executive power and the American torture programs that have undermined fundamental rights in the name of the so-called “war on terror.”
History has repeatedly taught us that the hard-won victories of yesterday can never be taken for granted. As society changes, new threats to our rights arise, even as old ones are defeated. CCR will continue defending progressive movements for social change and devising new strategies to ensure that fundamental rights are the rights of the many and not just the few.

Policy makers and practitioners in communities across the country are working hard to identify the programs that hold the greatest promise for preventing and ending homelessness. To do so, they need reliable information and guidance that is grounded in research and experience. We created the Center to provide a national source of information on the continuum of evidence-based policy and practice—from promising practices to initiatives that have been tested through rigorous research approaches.
At the heart of the Center is a cadre of experts who have a thorough understanding of the evidence base on homelessness and the technical skills to execute rigorous studies and evaluations, as well as practical experience on program implementation. The Center sits at the nexus of practice and research: our evidence-based research informs practice in the field, and our direct experience informs our research.
The Center was founded by nationally recognized experts on homelessness at Abt Associates. Abt Associates is a mission-driven, global leader in research, evaluation and program implementation in the fields of health, social and environmental policy, and international development.

HRH The Duke of Cambridge has been our Patron since 2005 - following in the footsteps of his mother, Princess Diana. Prince William would visit our hostels when he was a child and, when it was his turn to take over some of her patronages, Centrepoint was the first one he chose. He regularly visits us both in the public eye, but also in private, so he can meet and chat to the young people we support.
We aim to give homeless young people a future and we want to end youth homelessness by 2037.
More than 400 staff work for Centrepoint across the country, supporting homeless young people into a home and a job every day.
They include front line workers based in our hostels, counsellors and health supporters.
We're also led by a Board of Trustees, which holds us to account, and supported by a wonderful Patron and group of dedicated ambassadors.
Thousands of people help make Centrepoint the UK’s leading youth homelessness charity – our supporters, volunteers, staff and ambassadors all play a huge part in helping us create real change. Here are just a few of those dedicated individuals helping us give homeless young people a future.

The Child Protection Program was established in 1976 at our children’s hospital, eventually transitioning to the current Chadwick Center for Children & Families under Rady Children’s Hospital – San Diego. This early collaboration and case review model eventually helped to inspire the Child Advocacy Center (CAC) movement.
The Chadwick Center CAC has continued to expand and evolve over the years through local, national and international partnerships and funding. It’s mission has remained constant – to assess, evaluate, treat and prevent child abuse through our specialized services and education.
Chadwick Center is a fully accredited CAC through National Children’s Alliance (NCA). Chadwick Center is a member of the Children’s Advocacy Centers of California (CACC) and Western Regional Children’s Advocacy Center (WRCAC). The Chadwick Center is also proud to receive funding from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) as part of the National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN).
